OpenMC Installation

Install Miniconda

sudo apt-get upgrade
wget [<https://repo.continuum.io/miniconda/Miniconda3-latest-Linux-x86_64.sh>](<https://repo.continuum.io/miniconda/Miniconda3-latest-Linux-x86_64.sh>) --no-check-certificate
bash Miniconda3-latest-Linux-x86_64.sh

Install OPENMC

conda config --add channels conda-forge
conda search openmc
conda create -n openmc-env python=3.9

conda activate openmc-env

conda install openmc

Install JupyterLab/Notebook

  1. Download Data Library : https://openmc.org/official-data-libraries/

  2. Create Folder in C: drive

  3. Copy cross section Data form 1. into endf folder

  1. Create Hyperlinking from Ubuntu to Window
Link : sudo ln -s  /mnt/c/import  /home/s0283
Unlink : sudo unlink  /home/s0283/import
Link : sudo ln -s  /mnt/c/import/U20/endf  /home/s0283
Unlink : sudo unlink  /home/s0283/endf

or else using

/bin/nano ~/.bashrc
export OPENMC_CROSS_SECTIONS="/mnt/c/endf/cross_sections.xml"
  1. Setting Environment Path
/bin/nano ~/.bashrc

export OPENMC_CROSS_SECTIONS
